This August, Compas and the Apuseni Park Administration organised the first PadișFest in aid of the Apuseni Park. The festival was arranged to promote the natural and cultural heritage of the area, and to involve stakeholders in developing a sustainable strategy for the area.
The LIFE Connect Carpathians team were delighted to be invited to attend this event and set up interactive activities specifically dedicated to raising awareness of bear and wolf.
Although the weather was not suitable for outside activities, a great number of participants enjoyed using molds of bear, wolf and other species’ tracks to recognise signs of carnivores and understand how to survey wildlife populations.
At this event around 200 people participated.
