The opening ceremony for the new Gendarmerie base, developed under LIFE Connect Carpathians project, was held at Zam.
The Vața de Jos unit, served by 9 mountain gendarmes, has extended jurisdiction over the entire surface covered by the project, Alba, Arad, Bihor, Gorj, Timis, Caras Severin, Hunedoara and Cluj Counties.
