24th March – 7th April 2014 – Preliminary Meetings with national level stakeholders in Bucharest
The Project Implementation Team has met in Bucharest with 29 representatives of 10 Romanian ministries and agencies. The aims of these meetings were to introduce the LIFE Connect Carpathians project, and to discuss the common objectives of each institution with the project’s.
8th April 2014 – Project Inception Meeting
The Project Inception Meeting was the follow-up of these meetings, and it was hosted by the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, one of the project’s partners.
The meeting brought together over 20 representatives of ministries, national agencies and companies, and provided an opportunity to introduce the LIFE Connect Carpathians project, explain how it relates to European and National initiatives and outlined the importance of a participatory approach, based on common themes of inter-sectoral interests, for the development of the Regional Action Plans – the project’s overarching strategic documents.
